MY first visit:

Your first visit at our practice is not only about our team getting to know you, but also about you getting to know our team. In the time we spend together, we encourage you to ask questions, express your concerns, and share with us anything you want us to know to help make your care as individual as you are.

Part of getting to know you and providing safe, personalized support involves reviewing your medical history. Certain medical conditions and medications can influence your treatment protocols – so you will be asked to provide a list of your medications and their dosages (including vitamins and supplements). 

Next, a full-mouth series of x-rays and a comprehensive oral exam of your teeth, gums, mouth, and jaw will be performed, including a non-invasive oral cancer screening.

Financing & Insurance

  • Insurance:

    We also accept insurance to ensure that you can afford the best possible care and services. We accept most PPO insurance plans as an out of network provider, but we do not accept HMO, DHMO, DMO, Medicare or Medicaid insurance plans. If you are unsure that we accept your insurance company, please contact our office administrator at theresecheatham@drcaitsmiles.com.

    Patients should bring their current insurance card and the applicable co-payment for each office visit.

Dr. Cait Smiles Health Plan

We are thrilled to offer you savings through our affordable, state-of-the-art dental care in our newly renovated boutique practice! We wanted to give you a comprehensive description of our in-house dental plan and all that you will be receiving as a member. Our plan has a yearly membership fee of $295 for one child, $375 for one adult, $695 for a couple, and $975 for a family of four (there is an additional cost of $100 per additional child).

Once your annual membership fee is paid, you will receive 2 cleanings, 1 set of bitewing x-rays, and a periodic exam for the membership year. You will also receive a 20% discount on all of the dental procedures that we offer at Dr. Cait Smiles.

With our in-house program, there are no deductibles, no maximum for benefits, no exclusions on preexisting conditions, and no claim forms or “red tape.” This dental plan is NOT dental insurance. Enrolling in this program gives you the opportunity to obtain low fees as indicated in our Fee Schedule, and at the same time, provide yourself with basic preventive dental treatments.

The provisions and highlights of this program include:

  • Services and fees are guaranteed for 1 year

  • The initial fee is non-refundable

  • Our program is especially for you and is non-assignable

  • There is a one-year time limit to complete treatment provided by the program

  • Any treatment started before the end of the program year will be covered if the treatment can be finished within one month after the expiration of the program year

  • This program does not coincide with any other programs, specials, or insurance
