ABOUT US

At Dr. Cait Smiles, our Naples, FL dental office is a comfortable, family-friendly space where adults and children receive high-quality dental care. As soon as you arrive, you'll find plenty of parking outside our facility. In our reception area, we invite you to enjoy our selection of magazines, as well as complimentary beverages, including coffee, tea, and sparkling water. Our professional team is dedicated to fostering a calm, quiet environment and providing spa-like service.

To further help you relax during your treatment, we diffuse essential oils and provide complimentary eye massagers, LED light masks, and educational videos playing on HDTVs in each of our private treatment rooms. Meet the doctor

Dr. Caitlin McLaughlin

Dr. Cait is a general dentist and fellow of the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics. She specializes in digitally designed CEREC® CAD/CAM crowns. She can deliver you a beautiful porcelain crown in less than one hour! Dr. Cait also has advanced training in the treatment of growing children and adolescents. She uses braces and appliance therapy to treat malocclusion (the incorrect alignment of teeth and jaws) and to heal TMJ disorders.

She graduated from New York University College of Dentistry in 1996 and has since grown tremendously in her field. She has been a clinical professor at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine while working in a general/periodontics practice with her father and brother in Boston. 16 years ago, Dr. Cait moved to SW Florida and founded and owned Ave Maria Dentistry.

In April of 2018, she sold her practice and decided to offer her services in general dentistry and aesthetics to the Naples community. Dr. Cait was trained by the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics and is certified in BOTOX® treatments, dermal fillers, PDO thread lifts, and laser skin treatments. Dr. Cait hopes to offer you the best and most modern treatment and also offers Myobrace® appliance treatments. Dr. Cait believes that a true doctor is always a student, and continuing her education is very important to her. It keeps her practice modern as she strives for advancement in her science. Dr. Cait is also the mother of 11 children and stays active by biking, rowing, and running!

THERESE CHEATHAM- Office Administrator

Therese is our dedicated Office Administrator, specializing in billing and insurance claims. Graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration from Ave Maria University in 2018, Therese brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Her attention to detail ensures seamless management of billing processes and insurance claims. Therese works remotely and is married with 2 children.

THais Fishman- Dental Hygienist and aesthetics technician

Thais strives to build lasting relationships with her patients and to make a positive impact on the well-being of those she serves. Staying at the forefront of dental technology, Thais is adept at utilizing the latest tools and techniques. She is experienced in digital radiography, intraoral cameras, and other advanced technologies that contribute to more accurate diagnoses and improved patient outcomes.

Known for her warm chair-side manner, Thais takes pride in creating a comfortable environment for patients of all ages. She excels in conducting thorough dental cleanings, oral assessments, and developing personalized hygiene plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Thais has over 13 years of experience as a hygienist.

Thais also is highly skilled as our aesthetics technician, performing Alma Plasma RF and Vivace® Microneedling + PRP treatments.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren and their special little Yorkie pups. Fishing, boating and watching sunsets are just a few of the adventures they go on.

JOseph Raiger- Front Desk and Dental Assistant

Joseph is the friendly voice you will hear on the phone when you call our office and who will welcome you upon arrival to our practice. He is also Dr. Cait’s chair-side assistant, seamlessly navigating between administrative duties and helping Dr. Cait with patients. Joseph will ensure that your visit to our practice is comfortable and relaxed.
